Lemon, scientifically called Citrus limon, is a flowering plant that belongs to the Rutaceae family. Its oil constituents are abundant in the terpenes, d limonene and l-limonene, together forming about 90 percent of the bulk of the oil. Lemon oil has a refreshing scent and invigorating, purifying and cleaning properties.
